Ok so it's been a long time since I did an update....
Things have been extremely busy in the Dick household but we have been having some fun too. :)
Falcons season has started and we have learned the very important lesson that Em is no longer easy to take to games. She is so tall that she often kicks the folks in front of us (on accident) and is much more active than last year. But she still enjoys the game and is SOOOO cute in her game day outfits. And thankfully most of the folks who sit around us have watched her grow up and are super understanding (even when they get kicked).
We did get in a camping trip (see pictures under the toddle time link) - and she LOVED it!! She had a great time running around the campground and up and down the trail while we were hiking. When she got tired she had no trouble going to which ever one of us had the backpack and asking to be picked up and put in it... That night - she got a great night sleep - Jason got a usual camping night sleep... and I got very little between getting pushed off my thermarest and having a toddler sleeping on my head.... But it was fun... :) We are looking forward to going again when it is a little cooler! Em was even able to do a bit of bouldering with dad - she wasn't too sure about it at first but I think we have a climber in the making.
So far September has also brought lots of play time with her friend Sarah, a new sandbox at home to play with, a fun car to play with in the house (which she is obsessed with), and a fun bbq at her aunt Yanceys. :) It's rough having such a busy social life at such a young age :)
October will hold a trip back to the beach for a wedding reception, a trip to the mountains to help Gram sort through goodies and meet lots of folks, then hopefully a trip to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch/corn maze... and end with a big birthday party for Uncle Michael. :)
Stay tuned (hopefully I'll get back on track with some updates)
