There are new pictures up in the Toddle Time gallery :)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :) We headed up to Virginia to celebrate Thanksgiving with my mom and to help her do some work on the house as she gets ready to sell it. It was a great visit and very productive.
Thanks to furlough days at my work - and Jason needing to burn up a little vacation - we were able to go up Tuesday night (ok so we really drove through the night and got there about 3am) but we had all day Wed through Sunday up there so it was a nice long visit!
Wednesday morning Em was up and at em early - and it was an up and down day with naps all day :) Mainly we spent the day playing around the house - went out to lunch at the nearby deli to see an old friend of mine - but otherwise just playing around the house. Emily quickly figured out that the footstools in the kitchen were the perfect height for her to sit on or to stand on if there was something on the counter she wanted and we were not moving fast enough :)
On Thanksgiving, our friend's Judy and Gary came to eat with us (Gary brought YUMMMY homemade bread - next to the olives this was Emily's favorite part of dinner). Emily sat in the highchair that was my father's (she loved this chair and would scoot it over to the table any time she wanted to eat the rest of the weekend. :)
That evening more friends came over to help us christen Jason's game of Uno Attack that he got for his birthday - so we had a late night of cards (this was a theme every night we were home and it was GREAT!)
Friday we decided to do our black friday shopping in Amish country and made a trek over two mountains (both of which had snow on them which was VERY neat) to go to this little store (Cheese and More in Gap Mills WV) and stocked up on all kind of goodies (including AMAZING warm from the oven pepperoni rolls that Emily adored). Emily was not sure about the white stuff that made all the play equipment and fun stuff to play on slick though... or the cold (the truck said 17 when we got in to come home).
Saturday was another work around the house day and delivery day taking loads of stuff to friend's of mom's and checking out Christmas lights.
Emily was a trooper on the drive home on Sunday even though she only slept for about an hour for the whole trip! But we were home by about 7 and were able to have plenty of time to unwind!
This weekend we are having friends over for Jason's birthday and hope to have some fun toddler Christmas play.... I am also going to try to upload some videos for everyone to see :) Emily is talking more and more everyday and it is so much fun to hear her sing and talk (most of the time) and to just be silly!
