Summertime

The last few months have been more than a little chaotic - the challenges of returning from vacation, participating in multiple weddings and all the other nuttiness that is our life over May and June. But we are slowly getting back to a more normal pace... :)

Emily is growing like a weed and definitely becoming a little toddler. We have had several chances to take her to the park and nearby fountains to play with her friend Abby and another friend of ours and her daughter. Emily loves playing on the big kid playground equipment.

We took swim classes in June and Emily is definitely going to be a little fish - she loves the water! Thankfully our friend Katie introduced us to a great beach on Lake Lanier just up the road from our house that isn't too crowded so we've been spending lots of time up there and on the lake with the kayak and such. We are hoping that since we are stuck in Atlanta this fourth of July that we can spend some time on the lake and maybe meet some friends of mine who live over in AL now for some hiking.

We also recently got a bike rack for the truck, a bike helmet for Em and J got me a bike seat for her to ride behind me on the bike - so it looks like I will be back to biking this weekend too! :) We are heading to the beach in a couple of weeks with our friends the Gonyeas and Jones' and plan on taking the bikes up there as well which should be lots of fun. :)
