First class traveler

We came up to Virginia Beach for Thanksgiving this year - and it's about a 10 hour drive. Since we left at about 4:30 on Wednesday we only drove part of the way that night. Emily is a fabulous traveler - although like mom and dad she is not a fan of traffic jams. We had packed lots of toys so she had plenty to play with and with a stop for dinner at Cracker Barrel the trip was pretty good. It was Em's first dinner at Cracker Barrel and she is a BIG fan of the biscuits, carrots and dumplings.... Mom and dad enjoyed the chance to be out of the car for a little bit.

We ended up making it all the way to South Hill on Wed night and stopped about 1am at a hotel so that maybe mom and dad could get a few hours of sleep. When mom went out to let Amber-doggie out to pee and Emily stayed inside with daddy she figured it was time to play.... So we had to fix that belief when mom got back. 1am is NOT a good play time. :) Generally we had a good night and a yummy breakfast(BANANAs.... Em's favorite!) and then hit the road to Virginia Beach. Because we made it so far the night before Em had plenty of time to crawl around and get her wiggles out before we hit the road...

More on Turkey Day activities next... :)
