Thanksgiving Feast

We spent Thanksgiving with a great group of friends and family - we went to the Erikson's and all of their children were in town so it was a great big group which was a lot of fun for Emily. She played happily around the coffee table and with everyone who was there. We had packed a bag 'o toys so she had plenty to play with. Very quickly all the other adults realized that a coffee table that is at toddler height cannot also have appetizers on it - unless said appetizers and dishes are babyproof. So the table was cleared and became Em's domain - she cruized around it most of the night.

Emily loved Thanksgiving dinner and gleefully ate garlic green beans, corn, ham, turkey, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, apple pie, cranberry (not so gleefully at first but she did start to enjoy them), and mashed potatoes. About half way through adult dinner, Em was VERY tired - gee it was about 4pm and she hadn't had a long nap all day I can't imagine why she was tired - so she took a nice long nap on her mat. She woke up to a room full of folks and a roaring fire and took it all in stride. She was a great, flexible, happy baby almost all day - with a few little road bumps when she was tired.

We got home about 9 and everyone crashed early... YEAH for early bedtime with full bellys! We are sooooooo blessed to have such a wonderful family and great friends!
