Stand up! :)

I'm having a hard time being too witty with titles right now... :) But I wanted to write a little post while the house is still quiet (J is at work, Em is asleep so it's me - Top Chef, the dishwasher, and dryer)....

Our little munchkin has decided it is time to start experimenting with standing without holding onto something. She is up to about 30 seconds to a minute of just standing there balancing herself before she plops onto her padded bottom. We think that walking is not far behind. :)

Emily is finally over her cold and back to her happy self - Mom is getting back there too after a night or two of sleeping almost through the night (up once to nurse at 3am but otherwise sleep from 9pm to 7am!). This may sound silly to some but our angel - who is so good otherwise - is not the worlds greatest sleeper. We are working on it - but given that I felt two very swollen spots on her gums this week our efforts could be interrupted by teething again soon.

We had a fun weekend - she went grocery shopping with mom (see the picture of her in the cart) and then we spent some time decorating the house and baking -- and then out for some Christmas shopping and dinner...Sunday we went to church where she used mom as a jungle gym and then off to the Falcon's game. There is a wonderful family who sits near us who have two children (7 and 13ish) that Emily had great fun playing with - and she even took about an hour nap at the game!! Even with fireworks going off when we scored - she slept through it all!!

She has had a great week at school this week and has been super happy when I have picked her up every day - Happy playing not just happy to see me. :) She has decided that the jingle bell dog is not evil after all and has even started playing with him... :) The next few weeks should be lots of fun!
